Running Recap of Hunter's Game
Kanaya comes to Prayer's Pass shortly before the beginning of Act 6 Intermission 2 under the impression she will learn more about the connected S---B sessions and apocalypse they caused on Earth in the past. She does not expect her lipstick to cease turning into a chainsaw or for her supernatural strength and speed to fade away and settle at mortal levels. This strongly disquiets her.
Day 1
On her arrival Kanaya is more directionless than she expected. She ends up haunting the graveyard a bit, where Joshua chats with her and she learns the word snow. In the store she meets Steve Rogers, who offers to take her out on his bike to see a more normal Earth situation, and gathers blood to last a few days. They try to get into their cabins at first but fail, though Beat is so stubborn about his attempt she feels urged to pacify him.
When Kanaya gets into Cabin J Sam Winchester raises a gun on her and is skeptical of her claims to extraterrestriality. She is deeply offended and also scared by this encounter, particularly because without supernatural powers she has no guarantee that she would survive such a wound. After somewhat convincing him she's a rainbow drinker she retires for the night. She is aware of Clara's presence in the cabin but does not approach her, largely out of fear.
Day 2
On the dawn of the second day they learn about the game. Kyouko is the first person Kanaya speaks with after this. Kyouko explores her claims of alienhood and almost admits she's also been in a Murderstuck.
Kanaya's meeting with Ciel in the graveyard is pivotal. Ciel is the first person to make her think seriously about the rules of the game and the recorded conversations. They are both alone in the town and therefore need to forge alliances here to survive. She resolves to be more social and this significantly flavors her interactions from that point on.
She tries to make nice with Ukyo in the gazebo and Touko Fukawa in the library. The latter does not go so well: While Kanaya is intrigued by the melancholy meganekko, Fukawa does not take well to the meddlesome alien.
Once in the town hall, she enters the rec room; while her cabinmate Clara is there she watches the video of Bonnie's killing. She sees Fukawa faint and rushes to her side; but the girl whose pulse she checked is in fact "Syo", malicious alternate personality. Touko and Syo do not share memories, so Kanaya provides Syo with the information she lacks.
Kyouko confers with her in the trophy room and tells her the trial is for practice, but it is too late for Kanaya to change her vote; she has randomly selected Rikku.
Kanaya leaves the trial distressed to have voted when that turned out not to be necessary. Then Akane comes to ask her about it. She also comforts Ukraine, a large-hearted woman who was even more upset by having participated in the game at all.
She enters her cabin trying not to be seen by either of her cabinmates.
Day 3
Disconcerted by the announcements on the radio, still trying to socialize Kanaya wanders out past the mess hall - where she encounters Rikku for the first time. She explains that her vote was random and discovers that the other girl is not human; to make up for her actions, she agrees to an alliance with her. A little later at breakfast proper she encounters Touko, now her gloomy self again.
She sees her third cabinmate, Clara, wandering out to the woods and cautiously follows her, where they discover Sam Winchester's burnt body. Horrified at the method and victim, Kanaya flees to the pass, where she tries desperately to reach the outside world. Clara catches up with her.
This event galvanizes her as she feels compelled to prove her own incident and find the culprit. In her explorations she encounters Kyouko Kirigiri again in the hospital. She also explores the museum in more earnest than before. She haunts the graveyard again, musing on burial customs. She explores the museum very seriously helped by Spain.
