PRINCESS NIRVANA IS ALIVE AND WELL and off-set. She's very in-tuned to what the plans were and probably insisted at some point on getting back onto set (as a player, even) only to be shot down by basically everybody. In the end she wholly agrees that it was best left in Kaoru's hands. She is married to Gundam. It's gross. He has become such a badass over the last three years and Sonia is happy to stand back and sigh and watch it happen.

Sonia is about twenty or twenty-one now. She's a little taller than before and has somehow become even more absurdly Mary Sue beautiful (no, really, she's supposed to be canonly ethereal because cliche princess idk). She definitely looks like someone who could rule a country. These three years have made her even weirder- as she's warmed up to everybody she's gained a lot of confidence and much more boldness (if that was even... possible...). She's always been blunt, but she talks with a bit less stilted politeness now- which is probably due to being integrated among peers instead of being an isolated princess in her castle. She has a presence: it's all at once regal and awe-inspiring yet offbeat and weird just as she's always been.

Sonia takes on an 'everyone's best friend' kind of perspective. Although she had some very rough lows during the latter half of the game, she hasn't allowed herself to fall into despair ever since. She tries her best to keep everyone's spirits up and motivate them all, although she isn't afraid to use her Royal Voice when tough love is needed. Sonia has also probably spent a lot of time teaching her military training to the others in the group (possibly assisted by other qualified characters like Annie?).

She's very ready to go home, but she's not prepared for the reality of leaving behind her friends and all the people she's come to love. Part of her has grown completely accustomed to this new lifestyle, as difficult, dangerous, and exhausting as it's been. Everyone feels like family to her, and so she focuses mostly on the goal of taking the game down. Being reminded that once that happens, they'll have to find a way home, saddens her a little. SHE JUST WANTS TO HUG AND LOVE EVERYONE AND BRING THEM HOME WITH HER

She and Rapture are like sisters and everyone is probably terrified of them because just imagine two occult obsessed blonde girls standing in a corner whispering gossip about everyone else in the group. They probably play a lot of pranks together and put on impromptu singalongs at very inappropriate moments.

Kaoru is Sonia's Best Friend, because she said so and when Sonia says something you just have to learn to stand back and accept it. Her adoration for him is so schmoopy and ridiculous that you'd think she was in love with him, and she totally is in a platonic way even though he is a little shit and will always be a little shit. The last few years have just made her EVEN MORE DETERMINED to stand by his little shit self. When he was picked as the mole Sonia fretted like crazy and probably irritated the living hell out of everyone with her constant tears and worrying. When he left she probably tried to stall it by pretending to have some sort of dramatic medical emergency which everyone proceeded to see through. While he's been in the game Sonia has been utterly unbearable and she probably sniffs the clothes he left behind daily idk

As stated in Gundam's post, they had some sort of bizarre occult astral plane teen marriage ritual soon after the escape. Sonia still firmly believes that they have a kingdom to take over when they get back (because they will get back!!!) so she alternately refers to him as 'my ascendant king/my malevolent prince/my dark lord' etc. She is just as embarrassingly open and mushy about how she feels about him as she always has been. She doesn't seem to understand that it's embarrassing for everyone when she goes on about how Pure And True And Great her love is.

She's close to the DKs in general and they have kind of a bitchy little clique that gets up to mischief probably. Things have tempered down a lot for her with Lithuania and they may even be tentative friends by now. Poland... IDK... MAN I DON'T KNOW... but he still has her horse so there's that. May is like Sonia's little sister if Rapture is her older one. They have girly princess moments 10 times a day. Susan still holds a great deal of Sonia's respect and adoration, and to everyone's dismay, Sonia has a great deal of Susan merchandise and thinks that it's utterly wonderful. She is definitely in Susan Fandom. Stiles is still a solid 7 and she probably tells him a lot that he needs to find a nice person to settle down and get married to because solid 7s are hard to come by.

but yes gosh sonia is honestly probably the biggest catalyst for personal change in kaoru over the past 3 years though. he's extremely loyal to pretty much everyone and has made a lot of friends BUT SONIA IS HIS FOREVER FRIEND... while he feels indebted to lithuania, may and spain for arguing for his life, he really kind of views sonia as like a savior of sorts. her opinion of him helped sway may's opinion and she pretty much single-handedly said "get your shit together you can do better than this let's cut your hair off" which enabled him to start changing in the first place. and she probably helped him a lot along the way!! like if he'd start lapsing back into dark places suddenly sonia is there going you stop that.

he's still a shit tho but he's a much healthier shit and that's due in part to a pretty large extent to sonia bless you sonia. he'd totally indulge all of her weirdness and bizarre habits and just go along with any ridiculous schemes she could come up with... hotwire a car and put a space in the back to waterboard people?? SURE. go picnicking after walking away from an explosion they caused while stepping over the bodies of their fallen enemies? YES. i'd imagine they probably spend lots of time together just chatting or trading hobby tips when they aren't brutally stabbing things For The Cause.

also i already mentioned this but he really definitely has missed sonia so much like he's missed everyone, he's super homesick, but sonia will probably be the first person he beelines to. he's been stuck with her for like 3 years and suddenly he's away for 2 months and he's like "WHAT IS THIS FEELING THAT I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED BEFORE" it's missing your friends kaoru.

Rapture fought the last game for Minx and now she's breaking the game for Sonia ;_;

GOD... During the game public relations were constantly uneasy because Kanaya felt a great pressure to keep any indication she particularly liked Spain or Touko or Sonia a secret and then when they were finally together again in the graveyard their recollected DK camaraderie was so intense that the concurrent metaplot revelations ruled their every interaction and then the game just plain ended.

So now they're in this lifestyle and Sonia can finally simply be someone with whom Kanaya works together closely, instead of all the ingroup stress their situation used to involve, and Kanaya could not possibly be more glad that Sonia is with them. She's so great and more accepting than many other comrades of weird stuff (Kanaya in turn is sincerely interested in all things Novoselic), and is one of the only characters who could (if she wanted) work through Kanaya's barriers about what troll culture is really like and how she privately feels about things. To function better as a comrade, though, Kanaya is eager to acclimate herself to the necessary Earth techniques, very appreciative that Sonia respects Annie as also capable.

Kanaya does not take the perspective she should be Everyone's Best Friend but she will consider Sonia a best friend. In trying to motivate the dead characters she probably constantly has Sonia's special brand of affection in mind tbh

yeah, I definitely think they'd have grown a lot closer without the pressures of the game around them. and Sonia would be HELLA INTERESTED in everything about trolls, like she's probably The Most Fascinated of any of the humans tbh.

Sonia!! No, even though Gundam has opened up a lot and actually interacts with the others like an actual person, Sonia is still the person he's closest to. He just generally hangs around her while she gets up to other stuff standing in the background being weird. He acts as though she's a lot more terrifying than she is, too. He'll act as though she's the scariest drill sergeant in the group and invoke her wrath when threatening people. "Watch your words. My disdain is a mere drop in the ocean compared to the suffering that will be unleashed if the Queen of Darkness learns of your insolence!" that kind of thing. Doesn't know that no one is really that intimidated by Sonia.

He never really talks about going home and they just leave that as an unspoken thing. He still plans to go but he also knows his situation isn't very good.

Also, since the Dark Gods are apparently immortal, they've probably had hamster babies by now and he's gifted her her own hamsters, which he's helped her raise and train.

they are as close as best friends aside from being creepy teen married and that is what makes them work. Gundam is her hero and her glorious husband and the greatest warrior that has ever existed who will go down in Novoselic history...!!!
