Kaoru do you want to know the low that is the Spanish Armada. Someone else probably mentioned it casually as a joke and he got vaguely annoyed and explained later while emphasizing he lost to the weather and not the English. Also the low that is the Civil War aka the canon point he thought he was from until he got his memories back after MM. Which, by the way, once he got his memories back, Spain's optimism and cheer would be 100% more genuine versus being kind of "this smile is hiding the pain insiiiiiide." Gosh he'd be 200 x more friendly and cheerful than he was in MM.

Yes to teaching flowers and if they could get a guitar or any string instrument, really, Spain would give a few lessons. While teaching Spanish, Kaoru also probably got stuck with Spain going on a rant about how it wasn't fair Japan decided to let Holland stay and kicked the Spanish out. Clearly, they're missing out. Oh, well, but Holland is a nice henchman.

omg tho now im just imagining everyone having to readjust to each other's personalities outside of the mm situation and kaoru just being like "I'M NOT SURE I CAN TOLERATE THIS MUCH FRIENDLY CHEER" but then it just grows on him. spain just grows on him gOD SPAIN.

excellent tho yes good, kaoru can try to teach spain a little japanese in return but it wouldn't be super helpful considering his speech would be really archaic... spain goes back knowing how to speak like he's from 1860s edo
