Kanaya always thought that Alice was as admirable as Susan for her levels of confidence, determination, competency, and morality - and she's also one of the primary reasons nobody ever lynched Annie. Kanaya has been one of her most dedicated students on firearms and technology, particularly the latter because she is so much more naturally inclined to computers than many other members of the team. Alice comes from the future and Kanaya comes from an advanced planet. I imagine they commiserate quite a bit about the inferiority of this world's electronic toys)

Kanaya herself struggles to understand Weird Nation Things or Weird Family Things, and she has very strong feelings of speciesism that look very bad out of context because she killed Rin, but if it ever became sufficiently clear how much Alice has calmed down about weirdness, she could be one of Kanaya's main confidantes
